The town was originally developed in the late 19th century
as a tourist resort, and still boasts a large number of elegant Belle
Epoque hotels, mansions and public buildings. Today it offers facilities
including its own casino, a boating lake, as well as a choice of
restaurants for all tastes and budgets.
