Here's a taste of "The Good Life" at Pierre Levée:

The gardens feature a variety of mature shrubs and fruit trees 
(including over 70 mature hydrangea bushes, and local apples, of course).

A vintage cider press finds a new use at harvest time.

The gite garden includes a small "Zen corner"

The hedgerows and woods are peppered with ancient menhirs or standing stones.

A prehistoric sculpture? Or an axe-polishing stone?
The stone is extremely hard, and difficult to work even with modern tools 
- it seems most unlikely that this "head" is the result of natural processes.
